Mirlovena Dorvil was born on September 12, 2007, in Lagrange, north of St Marc. Mirlovna first stuck her tongue out like a little snake when she was born, as her mother recounted the story. Her mother, Joasline, attends our church, and her father is a non-believer. Both of her parents are farmers and are in their late 30s.

When asked who is her role model, “The most influential person in my life is my best friend, chadaïna,” said Mirlovena. She now attends school in the city, but her favorite time of the year is the summer when she gets to return to the village, Lagrange. She enjoys playing marbles. She gave herself the nickname Babara, which she now goes by. She is in 9th grade. We start sponsored Mirlovena with the school in 2012. She wants to study Dermatology after graduating high school. Mirlovena is very involved in her school. She is the secretary of her class. “I love it when we have student day off, where we get to do crazy things,” she said. She has two younger brothers. She accepted Jesus when she was 12, and her favorite verse is John 14:14. “God is my hope,” she stated. Would you help Mirlovena achieve her dreams by donating $160 yearly or $14 monthly toward her education?
